It’s been a minute since we dreamed up spaces with our imaginary wands, so we’re bringing the magic into the heart of the home: the kitchen. Kitchens are no longer a separate room used simply for preparing food; they are typically open concept and therefore need to be just as beautiful as the rest of the main floor. This is where most families spend the majority of their time eating, talking, snacking, socializing, homework-ing…
If you’re new to the Wand & Wish List, you should know that the magic wand metaphor is our most powerful tool. We use it at our clients’ homes during our complimentary consultation, where we ask our clients to take a look around and imagine they have a magic wand that can make all their design dreams come true. In the Wand & Wish series, the DWK team gets their hands on that wand and with a little Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo, we put together dream designs with favourite pieces from our suppliers. So really, the magic wand actually exists, because all of these pieces are available to you!
Here are the previous posts from the series in case you missed them:
DWK’s Wand & Wish List Series
Kitchen ideas are endless, so don’t be afraid to get creative. Take a look at how each of us put our own little spin on the heart of the home.
KATIE’S WISHFUL KITCHEN
“Simple doesn’t mean boring. White cabinets, dark flooring, and white and gold accents make this kitchen clean and crisp “
JENN’S WISHFUL KITCHEN
“The light wood tones make it easy to mix silver and gold. But these chairs! They are everything!”
KATRINA’S WISHFUL KITCHEN
“I’m all for the all-white kitchen, but I live for pops of colour too!”
These kitchens deserve three Michelin stars, don’t you agree? Which one is your favourite? All white, minimally neutral, or a muted colour eclectic? Leave us a comment below. Your opinions and good taste (pun intended) help us identify trends and preferences. Sometimes we even place bets!
